Free ACSF Level 2 Practice Test
ACSF Level 2 is the working-foundation level of the Australian Core Skills Framework: everyday numeracy and literacy in familiar contexts. It is the typical entry expectation for many Certificate II and some Certificate III courses, and the level many Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) screeners check before enrolment.
What ACSF Level 2 means
- At Level 2 you can work with whole numbers, simple fractions, money and everyday measurements in familiar, routine situations.
- You can read short familiar texts, complete simple forms, and follow clear step-by-step instructions.
- Support and familiar contexts are still expected: tasks are concrete, not abstract, and usually have a single step or two.
Who is assessed at Level 2?

What is ACSF Level 2?
Level 2 of the Australian Core Skills Framework describes everyday reading, writing and numeracy in familiar contexts: whole numbers, money, simple measurement, short familiar texts and simple forms. Many Certificate II courses expect it at entry.
Is this the official ACSF test?
There is no single official public ACSF test. Providers assess against the framework using their own tools. This free practice test is built to the Level 2 descriptors so you can check where you stand before a provider assessment.
What if I find Level 2 hard?
