Pre-service teacher registration
The LANTITE numeracy test is a mandatory registration requirement for all pre-service teachers in Australia. Administered by ACER, it assesses numeracy at ACSF Levels 2–5. Our preparation platform is the only resource that maps every practice question to ACER's three process domains and the ACSF framework.
Police Officer & PSO entry numeracy
The Victoria Police Entrance Exam (VPOL, formerly the EST) includes a 30-question numeracy component administered by ACER. Police Officer, Protective Services Officer (PSO) and Police Custody Officer applicants all sit the same numeracy test: police applicants require a minimum 111 on the ACER scale, PSOs 105, and custody officers a per-component pass. Year-round recruitment means you can prepare and sit at any time.
ACSF Level 3 numeracy for VET access
Access to a VET Student Loan (VSL) and many TAFE diploma-level courses requires demonstrated numeracy at ACSF Level 3. The assessment is typically a short numeracy test covering number operations, measurement, and basic statistics in everyday contexts. Our preparation materials target the exact ACSF Level 3 descriptors assessed.
Electrical apprenticeship entry numeracy
The NECA (National Electrical and Communications Association) apprenticeship entry test includes a numeracy component assessing trade mathematics: measurement and unit conversion, ratio and proportion, basic algebra, and reading technical diagrams. Our preparation materials are built around the specific numeracy skills required for electrical trade entry.
Protective Services Officer entry
Protective Services Officers (PSOs) sit the same ACER Employment Suitability Test as Victoria Police officers. The PSO pass mark is 105 on the ACER scale (versus 111 for police). This means the same preparation materials serve both pathways: and PSO applicants who later wish to transfer to police already have a strong numeracy foundation.
Firefighter WST numeracy
The FRV Written Selection Test (WST) is administered by ACER and includes a 30-question numeracy component covering practical mathematics in emergency and workplace contexts: measurement, unit conversion, ratio and proportion, reading technical data, and statistics. Every question is mapped to an ACSF level (2–5), a content strand, and one of ACER's three numeracy process domains. Your results report tells you exactly which ACSF descriptors you need to work on: not just how many you got right.
Based on ACER's Skills and Content Guide (Table 8), we track your performance across three numeracy processes: Identifying (extract the maths from the stimulus), Applying (do the maths), and Interpreting (evaluate and communicate results). Most students are weak in one specific process: we find it.

I'm a mathematician and educator with over a decade of experience: from primary numeracy through to VCE and SACE Specialist Mathematics and Physics. Before teaching, I worked as an engineer.
Some of the most rewarding work has been with students who were significantly behind through no fault of their own: gaps caused by circumstance, not ability. Getting the fundamentals right, and rebuilding confidence alongside them, makes a real difference.
A family member failed the LANTITE three times before we worked through it together. She's now happily employed as a primary teacher.
